Frank's Place (that recently received a SAPOA Award for Residential Development), is getting its street facade screen fitted. These are some progress photos of the screen that is soon to be completed.
The screen is made up an arrangement of Chromadek panels painted with various shades of blue so as to pick up on the colors of the building and its interiors itself. These panels are fixed with custom brackets to an existing screen that dates back to 1955. See the picture below.
The original screen after it was cleaned during recent renovations done by GASS Architecture Studios. The brass screen i spart of the building's podium that was built in 1955. The upper levels of the building were finished in 1964.
